David Grahame

David Grahame graduated M.A. Hons from the University of St Andrews in 1976 and started and ran his own businesses for several years before developing the ACS business angel initiative, becoming its first Chief Executive in 1993.

Since then, ACS members have made over 1100 investments in fast growing Scottish companies, making it one of the most successful and effective angel communities in Europe. ACS also pioneered initiatives in investment readiness, syndicate building, public/private co-investment, and sustainable intervention.

David currently has personal angel investments in a diverse group of companies and other current or past appointments include:

In 2003 he was made an OBE by The Queen for his services to entrepreneurship.
