Speakers set to include:

Fred Soneya – Co-Founder / Partner, Haatch

Fred was responsible for a number of high profile, large-scale innovation projects across one of the UK’s largest e-commerce businesses Kiddicare.com and post-acquisition, supermarket giant Morrisons.Fred created award-winning, digital customer experiences bridging the online-offline gap in one of the UK’s largest grocers, Morrisons. This included the launch of browse and order points, mobile payments and electronic shelf edge labels powered by early stage technology companies.

To achieve this Fred worked with cutting edge early stage technology start-ups to integrate and piece together award-winning customer experiences.

Co-founding Haatch in 2013, Fred runs the investment process end-to-end and works with portfolio businesses in advisory and board roles.

Alistair Marsden – Director, Nova Growth Capital

Alistair is both a founder and C-level sales and marketing professional with over 15 years of senior leadership and board experience of starting and growing industry-leading sales brands. He is responsible for oversight of the Nova Group’s commercial efforts as well as delivering the Fund Acquisition strategy.

Jessica Rassmussen – Co-Founder & CEO, Two Magnolias Venture Capital

Jessica founded Two Magnolias in 2019 with her business partner Marie Korde, and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founding Partner.

Jessica has 30 years’ experience working in Investment Banking as a Global Markets expert. She trained as a foreign exchange specialist and went on to run teams that were advising the largest global macro fund managers across fixed Income products. She spent her last 10 years in banking at Bank of America in London as a Managing Director. She was part of the product leadership team in EMEA and held significant client revenue responsibility.

Jessica has been an investor in her own right for many years with a personal portfolio that holds significant interests in FinTech, EdTech, Climate, Sports Nutrition and Entertainment. She has invested globally and has a particular interest in the transformative approach of private equity in financial services.

Jessica is an Advisor and NED to companies that span the universe of climate change disruption to social impact. She currently sits as a NED of Balance Eco Ltd and Sing King Ltd and on the Advisory Board of Neat Nutrition Ltd. She operates as part of an experienced finance team advising the Executive at Space Hero and sits on the Development Board of Big Education, a charitable organisation focused on transforming education in the public sector in the UK.

Xavier Ballester – Director Brokerage, Angel Investment Network

Director of Angel Investment Network’s broking division. In just over 10 years they have helped 500+ Start-up and expanding companies raise around £120 million. Always on the lookout for dynamic teams with great ideas and passion for what they do.
