Meet the Start-ups – Powered by Women
About this Event
Company founders are best placed to use their experience to solve issues that are close to their hearts. With women making up 50% of the population and making an estimated 85% of all consumer purchase decisions, it only makes sense that they are equally represented at the top. Unfortunately, this has not been the case for too many years.
That’s why we want to showcase some of the women leading some of today’s most innovative startups. So join us as we take a deeper look at some of the solutions being pioneered by four incredible female entrepreneurs:
Loral Quinn | CEO & Co-Founder of Sustainably
Richard Branson’s Startup of the Year 2019, dubbed the ‘Moneybox of giving’, and featured on the BBC, The Times and more. Sustainably’s free app lets you easily and safely give to all your favourite charities by rounding up cashless transactions and donating spare change automatically every time you shop.
Ana Mikaela Silva | Founder of Pleasy Play
An intimacy app for couples combined with a subscription box to make it date night, every night. Pleasy is backed by venture capitalists, angel investors and Indico Capital Partners, and supported by a Google for Startups programme. Following a successful launch in Portugal, Mikaela has brought Pleasy to a UK market projected to hit $39bn by 2024.
Kim Brookes | Founder of Perfino
Makers of artisan jewellery that combines with wonderful natural scents to become your own personal diffuser. A serial entrepreneur, Kim was recently featured in the BBC’s CEO Secrets and Radio 4 Business Matters. She is also a business mentor to university spin-out startups, and boasts 10 years’ experience in international corporate finance.
Linda Facchinetti | Founder of Jump into Reality
Technology developed to solve the frustrating and expensive challenges that interior designers face. By allowing designers to easily create, share, and customise hyper-realistic 3D designs in real time via the cloud, they are replacing various design tools with a single piece of intuitive software that requires no training. Following a successful Spanish launch, Jump Into Reality is about to launch in the UK.
Face-to-face meetings and live events may be on pause for now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t meet the women behind some of the latest and most exciting innovations. There’s no better way of getting to know what a company is all about, so join us and hear directly from these four incredible female founders.
