Investing in Innovative Insurtech Businesses – An Insurtech Exploration
We are delighted to partner with Technation’s Insurtech Board and Insurtech UK for Friday Focus on 7th May 2021, where we will explore the fast-growing, insurtech sector and assess where the investment opportunities are for our community.
The global insurtech market revenue was valued at 5.48 billion in 2019 and is expected to reach 10.14 billion by 2025. In the UK alone, £253 million was raised in 2020 with 54 raises closed.
Insurance is a big, multifaceted industry with huge opportunities for new technologies and business models. The industry is undergoing a period of transformation, driven by digitalisation and the emergence of technology driven insurtechs that have harnessed the exponential growth of data provided to them by the IoT. The insurtech sector is now offering customers quick and adaptable policies; a diverse landscape of tech-driven insurance platforms and technology solution providers is emerging that can address the numerous pain points associated with today’s insurance industry.
