The event will be moderated by Emma Davies, co-CEO of Octopus Ventures. She has been an investor for over 20 years and has a broad range of experience investing across asset classes, managing teams and building businesses. Previously Emma was the Head of Direct Investments at Marylebone Partners. She has also spent time at The Wellcome Trust as the Head of Property and Infrastructure, as well as running the European investments team for Perry Capital. She was the founding CIO of Big Society Capital and passionately believes that how companies behave is as important as what they do. She has an MA from Oxford University and an MSc from LSE and lives in London with her husband and two daughters.

Feastr is a food delivery company building a multi-brand digital food court, operating from efficient tech-enabled cloud kitchens (off-high-street, delivery dedicated warehouse kitchens). It has £1M+ sales with growth plans for £300M+ in 5 years. It has a differentiated business model that focuses on delivery-optimised food, increased kitchen efficiency and reduced reliance on intermediaries. The team is experienced and is looking to raise £2m (£500k 1st close) with EIS qualification.
Catapult is an all-in-one employee app for frontline workforces. It is a SaaS business, sold on a per user per month basis. It services any segment that has a large frontline workforce component with a focus on small to medium size businesses. Initial GTMs are care and retail. The team has 5 years’ experience building tech for the frontline workforce. 47% MoM growth since Q4 beta launch with New Look. 3 signed clients + 3 POCs inc ASDA.
With 25.4% average month on month growth since June 2020 and 620% YoY, GoodLifeSorted is quickly changing the elderly care landscape. It’s the first business to bring the sharing economy to the elderly, based on a monthly recurring revenue model. Good Life Sorted is a technology-enabled platform connecting elderly people with vetted, local Helpers, who provide home help services for a fee.
Behaviour Lab’s vision is to transform the ¬£70 trillion active asset management industry’s investment decision making, with a desktop platform that uses behavioural science and analytics. Active managers face huge performance pressure and new regulatory requirements. Behaviour Lab improves returns by up to 250bps with an insight-driven, debiasing investment process. And delivers valuable transparency to fund managers’ customers and regulators. The company advises ¬£160b in assets with its prototype and is now building scalable software.
Each pitch will be followed by a short Q&A. Once all pitches completed, we will open breakout rooms for further discussion and questions.
