Fusion Investor Lounge: How to Invest in Space

UK Start-Ups Across the Space Value Chain

One of the key questions investors new to space have is “What start-ups are currently active in the different areas of the Space sector?”.

In this session, we’ll look at a selection of start-ups to keep an eye on in four different areas of the Space sector, from the beginning of the value chain (launch) to the end (downstream services).

We’ll explore:

Launch – which companies are trying to compete with SpaceX and take advantage of potential launch sites in the UK?

Satellite Manufacture – which companies are creating novel constellations, satellites, and sensors?

In-Orbit Servicing and Manufacture – which companies are looking to service satellites and create high value products in the unique microgravity environment in space?

Downstream Services – which companies are exploiting space data in new ways?

By the end of this session, we will have explored 12 companies – some of which you may have heard of, but others that will no doubt be new to you. There will be plenty of time to discuss these four areas, for example which have the most potential and which carry the most risk.
