CoInvestor Pocket Pitches: 22 April

We are pleased to welcome you to the latest edition of our virtual pitching series, Pocket Pitches.

Join us on Thursday 22nd April at 10am to hear an 8-minute pitch from the founders of 5 companies open for investment.

The featured companies cover a wide range of sectors including media, infrastructure, healthcare and financial services including a series A raise for a new SME challenger bank.

More details about the opportunities can be found on our platform at coinvestor.co.uk.

Alba Bank – a new challenger in the UK financial services industry. Launched by an experienced team to exploit a gap in the profitable UK SME (small to medium enterprise) banking market, this is an opportunity to invest alongside successful cornerstone investors, including industrialist Jim McColl. The valuation is at a significant discount relative to its peer group at this stage in their development and allows investors to own almost half of the business as part of the current Series A £5m raise.

Not In The Guidebooks – A curated travel marketplace offering a collection of local and sustainable experiences crafted and delivered by local hosts. They help travellers really get under the skin of the place they are visiting by offering a range of day experiences, mini breaks or longer experiential itineraries that are immersive, authentic and eco-friendly. Eligible for EIS relief.

Vanuse – An on-demand “transportation as a service” platform, offering a service similar to Uber, but for vans. Vanuse’s mobile app and website enable businesses and individuals to instantly connect to available independent van and driver services in their local area. Eligible for EIS relief.

Vidicrew – A web and app platform enabling users to crowdsource user-generated media content. Videos and images are collected from group events such as weddings or businesses and uploaded to an accessible online gallery. Vidicrew also offers a professional video editing service to transform the videos collected into films. Eligible for EIS relief.

Hip Impact Protection – Patented technology to save lives and reduce costs from falls and fractures. Hip Impact Protection provides sensor devices embedded in hip protectors to efficiently detect all falls, creating alarms and capturing data for subsequent analysis; ideal for care homes and elderly people living alone. Eligible for EIS relief.

We look forward to seeing you there!
