👏A Big Step Forward for Orbital FX with £100k Investment from Creative UK

We’re thrilled to announce that Orbital FX, a North East-based costume and prop design company, has secured a £100k loan investment from Creative UK’s Culture and Creative Investment Programme (CCIP), delivered in partnership with the North East Combined Authority.

This pivotal funding will enable Orbital FX, founded by husband-and-wife team Luke and Karen Daley, to expand their technical team, invest in cutting-edge equipment, and further build their reputation as a leader in high-end props and costume design.

The company’s previous work has already made waves globally, featuring in Disney’s theme parks, Avengers: Quantum Encounter, and The Mandalorian Season 3.

Creative UK’s North East Create Growth Programme, which Orbital FX finished in 2024, helped the team refine their business model and investment readiness, laying the foundation for this next stage of growth. Luke Daley, Co-founder of Orbital FX, shared:

“This funding allows us to bring even more innovative projects to life, expand our capabilities, and strengthen our position as a go-to props and costume design company for Film, TV, and live events.”
