Launch of new EIS/SEIS awareness video aimed at women founders and investors

An important new video has been launched this week to enable many more women founders and women investors across the UK to understand the benefits of the EIS and SEIS scheme.

Whilst the Government has shown a continuing commitment to the EIS scheme and supported the introduction of valuable enhanced reliefs under the SEIS scheme, data has shown that there is a lower level of awareness among women entrepreneurs of the schemes and how they can increase their opportunities to access the investment they need. At the same time, UKBAA research has also shown that many women angel investors and potential investors are not made aware of the EIS and SEIS schemes and how they can support their opportunities to back early-stage female-led businesses.

The video supported by the Rose Review and also part of the actions of the UKBAA-led Women Angel Investment Task Force provides information and insights on the benefits of the schemes from a range of players, including Jenny Tooth OBE, UKBAA Executive Chair; Christiana Stewart Lockhart, DG, EISA; Rupa Ganatra Popat, Angel Investor, Areya Ventures and Daisy Knatchbull, founder of The Deck.
