VenturePath, The Growth Investment Community, launches to support the growth of UK tech

VenturePath, a membership-based community of founders and experts, has launched to provide UK-based tech entrepreneurs with the network, knowledge and on-demand skills training, and access to VC funding required to scale up.

Founded by Ian Merrricks and backed by White Horse Capital and a team of former and exited entrepreneurs with experience of advising 1000+ entrepreneurs. Piers Linney (ex BBC TV Dragon / serial entrepreneur) and Dr Tim Hames (former Director General of the British Venture Capital Association) have joined the team as senior advisors.

15 of the UK’s top-tier venture investors are participating in VenturePath, including Octopus Ventures, Finch Capital, Foresight Group, Amadeus Capital Partners, FSE Group, Guinness Ventures, Smedvig Capital and 24 Haymarket, representing £5bn of available growth capital. Regular community interactions with these and other VCs reduce friction and improve the likelihood and efficiency of VC fundraising for the entrepreneurs in the community.

VenturePath launches today with 100+ founder members including the VC-funded entrepreneurs behind UK tech success stories such as Newsflare, Gophr, Fifty Technology, Optalitix, Edozo and Forestreet. Following the initial intake of founder members, VenturePath is now operating a waitlist of applicants to be onboarded in 2023.

VenturePath provides a powerful peer network of venture-backed founders and a black book of industry experts and exited entrepreneurs. These scaleup experts are on hand to support members in areas such as building a scaleable sales team, VC investment readiness, exit planning, founder wellbeing, and marketing / PR.

Members have access to top talent who have been recommended by the community’s entrepreneurs, including Board-level executives, NEDs, and senior-level hires across a variety of business functions.

Despite the Government offering some support for the UK tech sector in the recent Autumn Statement, scaleups are still faced with a challenging economic climate. Many companies are struggling to raise capital or sign customers, as consumers and businesses alike cut back on spending. VenturePath provides a critical support network to the ambitious founders that will drive the UK’s economic recovery through job creation and long-term investment in critical technologies.

VenturePath is for founders of high-growth UK tech companies with revenues of £1m +, seeking support to scale and potentially raise Series A – B (£2 – 20m in funding. In 2023, VenturePath will be adding an additional 50 high-growth founders to the community and is accepting applications via this link. Membership fees apply and are calculated based on annual revenues.
