British Design Fund 3 open to investors
With light at the end of the tunnel and entrepreneurs across the UK dusting themselves down after a bumpy twelve months, we are delighted to announce the launch of the 3rd British Design Fund.
BDF3 as always will focus on supporting the best of British product and manufacturing start-ups, seeking to support those entrepreneurs who have spent the past 12 months coming up with new ideas, polishing existing ones and are now gearing up to bring those products through to market. Webinar March 23rd
Join us for a special webinar on 23 March and hear from our expert panel of investors and investees, who will be sharing their insights and experiences of the product start-up scene in the UK. The topic of the webinar is, “How has the landscape changed after lockdown for product design and manufacturing start-ups?”. What questions should investors be asking and how can businesses position themselves best to exploit the “uncoiling of the economic spring” which we expect to see in 2021? To register for this event click here or below.
We have been very busy supporting the existing BDF portfolio as well as making some new investments. From the likes of Newlane, an innovative new folding helmet which will take advantage of the surge in cycling and scootering, to Lutra Marine, revolutionising the dredging industry in the UK, and Hausbots, a Birmingham based novel approach to remote wall painting and surveying.
