Origin backs Myrtle

Origin Capital has invested in Cambridge-based Myrtle Software in a deal lead by the Cambridge Angels investor group. Myrtle’s tools enable faster compilation and execution of complex programmes, particularly deep-learning algorithms, on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) devices. FPGAs are are becoming increasingly prevalent in data centres, and can offer significant speed, latency and power-saving benefits over traditional server computing. Read more…
