Broker Compare gets backing from angel investors

Angel investor and UKBAA member, Charlie Johnstone of ECI Partners LLP, was one of five investors to take part in a 110k fundraise for Broker Compare on 16th December 2016, rounding out their SEIS allowance after a 40k friends and family raise in September.

Broker Compare is a price comparison tool to help people find the right investment provider for them. Johnstone recognised the opportunity to save tens of thousands of pounds over the lifetime of his self-invested personal pension (SIPP) by using this tool and switching brokers. Investing alongside Johnstone was Hugh Mullan, former UK CEO of Fidelity Worldwide, who adds impressive industry credentials to the company.
