OFF3R Report – the 20 biggest equity crowdfunding campaigns of 2016

2016 has had its fair share of seismic political and economic shocks. TheOFF3R Indexreport, released in November 2016, showed that equity crowdfunding had a rather sluggish January and a couple of quiet months following Brexit.

However, the asset class has demonstrated resilience as the updated data for October revealed the best performing month of the year to date leading to a combined total raised figure of £176 million in the first 10 months of 2016.

2016 has also seen a series of record-breaking crowdfunding campaigns. The top three rounds of 2016 are the top three campaigns of all time in the UK. Therefore, we once again head towards a new year with a sense of optimism and all eyes are on the possible changes from the FCA review of the crowdfunding regulations.
