UK tech leaders send Government post-Brexit recommendations

In an open letter to the Prime Minister, nine tech leaders including Brent Hoberman CBE, Sherry Coutu CBE and Richard Reed CBE, recentlyoutlined recommendations for the government’s Brexit negotiations; a bidto ensurethat the UK remains a global force in the tech industry.
Following the TechCrunch Disrupt London Brexit Sentiment Survey it has become clear that UK tech founders are highly concerned about accessing EU talent post-Brexit, an issue that was also raised at the UKBAA Angel Investment Summit 2016. The lack of confidence in the UK government over its skilled immigration policy was therefore addressed by key figures as one of several issues theyurged Government to prioritise in its negotiations. The need to support digitally-focused education and enterprise zones that reward startup-backing corporates, as well as considering R&D tax credit reform also featured in the set of recommendations.
