Mylor Ventures Angel Network (MyVAN) funds Ultramed

Mylor Ventures Ltd is delighted to announce that Mylor Ventures Angel Network completed the funding round for Ultramed Ltd. Led by Dr Paul Upton and Alan Sanders, Ultramed Ltd is an e-health business and delivers the market leading product range – Ultraprep®.
Ultraprep® is an integrated suite of programs used in the preparation of patients for procedures and operations. Once completed, patients can share their information securely with the healthcare provider performing the procedure. This process is significantly quicker, cheaper and more manageable than current analogue procedures.
Earlier this year, Ultramed Ltd won Business Innovation of the Year at the Cornwall Business Awards, adding to its growing collection of accolades. The company is based in Cornwall at the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre.
Dr Paul Upton said: “I am absolutely delighted at the response that we have had to the Ultramed investment proposal using the SEIS scheme. Such a rapid and ‘full’ fund raise will allow us to implement our ambitious plans to drive our marketing and sales efforts building on the interest that has been shown nationally in the Ultraprep suite of preop and pre-procedure assessment programs. We will be taking on additional staff, attending more professional conferences and bringing forward our export plans.”
Rob Misselbrook, CEO of Mylor Ventures said: “We are very excited about Ultramed and the company has demonstrated its appeal with significant traction in the NHS at such an early stage. Mylor Ventures Angel Network (MyVAN) continues to see significant opportunities in the e-health sector and Ultramed is a clear example of how regional companies like this can deliver significant opportunities for investors“.
