Seedrs publish first portfolio update

Seedrs has publishedit’sfirst-ever Portfolio Update. It includes detailed data and commentary on the characteristics and performance of all the deals Seedrs funded from launch in July 2012 through the end of 2015.

Highlights include:
• Seedrs had completed 253 deals, across 15 sectors, by the end of 2015.

• These deals have produced a platform-wide annualised rate of return (IRR) of 14.44%. This is compelling on its own, and it increases to 41.87% when impacts of SEIS and EIS tax reliefs are taken into account.

• Investors with portfolios of 20 or more investments have outperformed the market on average, with average IRRs of 15.01% (43.39% when tax-adjusted).

Ernst & Young LLP (EY) has reviewed the procedures and processes we used to determine estimates of fair value in the Portfolio Update and consider that they are in line with the industry guidance set forth in the International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation (IPEV) Guidelines.
