TyresOnTheDrive Wins High Growth Team of the Year Award
On the 5th July 2016 at the Dorchester Hotel, TyresOnTheDrive was named as High Growth Team of the Year at the UK Angel Investment Awards 2016.
The High Growth Team of the Year Award, sponsored by Barclays, celebrates the achievements of an exceptional leadership team that has attracted equity investment and is able to demonstrate ambition, innovation and insight to help attain significant growth within their business.
TyresOnTheDrive’s win was announced by Kiki Loizou, Small Business Editor of The Sunday Times. The award was presented by James Todd, Head of the Family Office Team at Barclays (pictured, right).

The shortlisted businesses have all demonstrated their team’s capacity to achieve scale-up and the role of investors to enable them to further their high growth strategy.
The judges wished to commend all the eight finalists for demonstrating significant high growth trajectories in their respective sectors.
The judges noted that TyresOnTheDrive had achieved exceptionally strong growth in sales and had maintained a clear focus on their customers, reducing the pain for timely access to the right tyres, bringing a clear disruption to the market. The founder has shown strong leadership in building an effective team drawn from a range of tech industries to support their scale-up strategy, using investment to support their expansion across the UK.
Moteefe received the One to Watch Award, demonstrating clear potential and progress in building a high growth team across multiple locations in UK and Europe. The judges commented that Moteefe was a prime example of a business that had utilised its high growth team to scale its business in the growing area of customer merchandise businesses on social media.
