BIS Select Committee Consultation on Access to Finance Inquiry
UKBAA responded to the inquirysetting out the current challenges and opportunities for the growth of entrepreneurial finance and the role of angels and early stage investors. This included the impact of crowdfunding; the overall geographic patchiness for access to angel investment; the lack of a co-ordinated finance ecosystem; uncertainty over State Aid and changes to EIS; challenges for liquidity and the lack of sufficient scale-up capital.
