Entrepreneur Academe is Open for Applications

Angel Academe is delighted to announce the third edition of Entrepreneur Academe, our successful mentoring programme for ambitious women tech founders, is open for new applications.

Applications are invited from women founders from London-based technology startups. The competition is open during February and the winners will be announced in mid-March.

The programme is sponsored by the City of London as part of their on-going commitment to support enterprise and small businesses in the City and its neighbouring boroughs and powered by the Angel Academe community of business leaders and investors.

Through monthly meetings covering the different aspects of growing a tech business, the programme offers participants a combination of peer-mentoring and accountability, frequent opportunities to present as well as access to business leaders (both male and female!) with a wide range of skills and expertise.

We provide our mentors with an opportunity to get to know some exciting women-led businesses over a period of time. Previous participants include Andiamo, Frugl, SupaPass, Digital Mums, Provenance and Raremark. Between them, members of our first 2 cohorts more than doubled their turnover and employees during the programme and many were successful in attracting external funding for their businesses.

At Angel Academe we don’t believe women founders need different support from men, just a more level playing field. Women make up a tiny minority of investors and mentors in the tech startup ecosystem. We’re shaking things up by encouraging more of them to participate. After all, diverse investor and startup teams make better decisions, are more capital efficient and give better return on investment.
