xénos gives Welsh businesses a direct line to London angel investors

A successful London investor recruitment drive by xénos, the Wales Business Angel Network, has boosted the number of investors based in London and the south east of England with direct access to the growing pipeline of new Welsh investment opportunities the angel network has to offer.

At a recent event held at the House of Lords, over 70 private investors heard about the investment opportunities available in Wales from Lord Wigley, Sir Peter Davis Рlong-term xénos member, UKBAA Angel Inesvtor of the year 2012 and lead investor in Kind Consumer Рas well as UKBAA Chief Executive, Jenny Tooth OBE and xénos manager, David Maas.

Maas believes that Welsh businesses can be an attractive proposition to the high-net-worth individuals looking to invest: “Wales is home to an increasing number of dynamic young start-ups and early stage businesses with high growth potential looking to secure angel investment and x√©nos can provide investors with a ‘fast track’ to some of the best angel investment opportunities on offer in Wales, whether they’re looking to invest individually or as part of a syndicate. We can also facilitate investments alongside Finance Wales which invests in Welsh SMEs at all growth stages. We’ve already registered 25 new investors who are all receiving investment opportunities from x√©nos and we’re planning further events in London this year.”
