Birmingham Hospitality Specialists Taking the Strain Off PAs

A Birmingham-based corporate hospitality specialist is aiming to make the lives of the region’s PAs easier by making it simple to book packages online.
Around £1 billion is spent on official packages to major sporting and musical events each year – and the job of selection and booking hospitality often lands on the PA’s desk.
CompareHospitality.com, based in St Philips Place, Birmingham has launched a new website helping PAs compare hospitality packages quickly and efficiently.
CompareHospitality.com is backed by funding from Birmingham-based venture capital specialist Midven, and Finance Birmingham. Investment topping £100,000 has come from Midven’s Early Advantage Fund, together with Finance Birmingham and the Minerva Business Angels network. The money has enabled the firm to increase its marketing activity and grow through new business wins. Andrew Vincent, managing director of CompareHospitality.com, said corporate hospitality must take a more prominent role in the marketing strategy of large companies as the economy continued to improve.
He said: “We recognise that people select corporate hospitality in different ways and have designed our website to allow anyone, whether they are selecting a specific event some months ahead or have a client flying in next week and need to entertain them, to quickly find the event and package that is right for them.
“CompareHospitality.com is a one stop solution to someone who hasn’t got the time to shop around, and we guarantee that you won’t be able to find the same package cheaper anywhere else.”
He added: “The pressure of choosing the right package for the boss to entertain their clients can be overwhelming. With so many packages available, how can one ensure that instead of entertaining a top client in a private box overlooking the action on the pitch, they don’t end up standing in the rain next to a white van, dispensing tomato sauce onto a sorry looking hot dog two miles from the ground for a client with a face like thunder? Selecting the right package is indeed a minefield when it can all go horribly wrong.”
Mr Vincent said the new website was highly flexible and allowed users to search for packages relating to specific events or to events to a given window of time.
