MBM Commercial Appoints Corporate Partner as Head of New London Office

MBM are delighted to announce, with immediate effect, the appointment of Michael Arnott who has launched a new London office for MBM

Michael Arnott is an experienced corporate lawyer who joins the firm from Farrer & Co. London, where he has been a partner for several years. Mr Arnott acts for companies and their investors in corporate fund-raisings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate work. He is also well known for advising investors on how best to realise non-performing assets, which includes financial restructurings, turnaround finance and formal insolvencies. During his career Mr Arnott has worked for international law firms in London and has been involved in many high profile transactions. His clients range from entrepreneurs and growth companies to financial institutions and listed companies. Mr Arnott joins the firm as its first permanently based partner in London as part of the firm’s plans to develop its existing practice in London.

Senior Partner, Stuart Hendry, said of the appointment: “This is a very exciting time for our firm and we are delighted to welcome Michael to our partnership. As head of our new London office, Michael brings with him a wealth of experience and connections , which will be a great benefit for many of our clients, particularly those based in London. He shares our same ‘can do’ entrepreneurial approach and he has bought into our vision to further develop our corporate practice, with a particular focus in London. We have listened very carefully to several of our key clients in London who have been asking us for some time to put some ‘permanent boots on the ground’. This is a significant step up from the satellite office which we have previously maintained with the help of one of our existing London clients and we plan to make more appointments to our London team in due course.”
“I am thrilled to join MBM Commercial and look forward to contributing to its continued growth, particularly in London,” Mr Arnott said. “MBM’s unrivalled boutique practice for entrepreneurs, growth companies and investors, and its collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, are among the many qualities that attracted me to the firm.”
