MMC Ventures and Institute of Directors announce networking event series
Partnership programme will look to connect young British entrepreneurs with young investors
Venture capital firm MMC Ventures and the Institute of Directors (IoD) have today launched a networking events programme aimed at supportingBritain’s fast-growth businesses.
The series will combine the IoD’s 99 initiative; which allows 99 young business owners to join its network, with MMC’s Growth Generation Fund; a fund which provides young investors with access to low-cost investment opportunities.
The partners hope that the event series will encourage young entrepreneurs and young investors to connect and say the events “will break down the barriers” of entrepreneurialism.
The first event will take place on June 11 with a session which will focus on finding funding for a business idea.
Bruce Macfarlane, managing partner of MMC Ventures, said:
“We’re looking forward to working with the Institute of Directors and their 99 Club cohort. The growth of young entrepreneurial spirit in the UK is great news and it is important that we work together to support young talent with the barriers they may face.”
