Peter Cowley wins Angel Investor of the Year

Peter Cowley, wins Angel Investor of the Year, at the 2014 UKBAA Angel Investment Awards. This award was supported by Lloyds Bank.
This award is aimed at individual angel investors that have been very active in investing small businesses during the past year – they can be new to investing or experienced. The award seeks to identify an investor who has not only brought their financial capacity, but also provided clear added value to their investee portfolio, offering experience, skills, and contacts and mentoring to support successful growth and potential exit. The investor can be acting alone or as a lead angel as part of a syndicate.
Nominated by the Angel CoFund, the judges felt that Peter Cowley has demonstrated long-term commitment to angel investing, having made over 30 investmentsto date in early stage businesses across a wide range of sectors and through a range of models including syndicates , alongside crowdfunding and through corporate venturing. Peter has also shown extensive support for entrepreneurship as a mentor and educator and helping to accelerate start-ups whilst taking a strong role as a proponent of angel investing not only in the UK but internationally.
