New Silicon Beach Chair, Don McQueen, supports the launch of Festival of Design and Innovation

Don McQueen, new Chairman of Silicon Beach Business Angels who is a Bournemouth University Board Member, attended and supported the launch of the highly successful annual Festival of Design and Innovation at the University this week. Peter Eales, General Manager and Director of the Dorset based angel network was a judge for the most promising student for commercialism from the many excellent displays of work. He did this along with Professors Simon Vaitkevicius pictured here (see attached), a leading global innovation authority. Peter said, “The winning entry was terrific, and just about ready to launch in our view. Silicon Beach works closely with the university, and the team has assisted taking designed product to market in the past. Discussions are now in place exploring how to further enhance opportunities for everyone concerned: graduates, the university and business will work together to improve commercial opportunities. This Festival is a fantastic event.”
