HRH the Duke of York attends Halo pitching event at Hillsborough Castle, Northern Ireland

His Royal Highness the Duke of York KG was the guest of honour at the recent Hillsborough Castle meeting of Halo- the Business Angel Network of Northern Ireland. Prince Andrew has long-standing links with UK enterprise and was able to see for himself seven companies pitching to potential investors. The prince met members of the companies where one founder jokingly added of the Prince: “He might be a potential investor- you never know!”.

Halo has facilitated the investment of nearly £7m by business angels into Northern Ireland companies.

Halo also was pleased to announce their participation in Pitch at the Palace. This initiative of His Royal Highness will see eleven companies from around the UK to an exceptional audience of angels, potential angels and mentors.

Three companies from Northern Ireland will have an opportunity to take part with one winning through to pitch at St James Palace in April. The Hillsborough Castle Halo event also served as a feeder event with pitching companies being considered for Pitch at the Palace.
