Business Leader, Innovator Support & International, Energy Systems Catapult

With 25 years in the energy sector, Paul’s experience in clean energy and the energy transition allows him to focus on his passions of innovator support and international collaborations towards Net Zero.  Over the last 3 years, he has established Energy Systems Catapult’s accelerator (Energy Launchpad) and the International team – helping numerous UK cleantech start-ups commercialise whilst growing a portfolio of impactful international projects.  Prior to ESC, Paul enjoyed 5 years at Ricardo, leading their global clean energy & power generation area.  Before that he worked at Ocean Power Technologies and the Carbon Trust, managing low carbon technology programmes and supporting the investment team.  Paul has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Newcastle University and an MBA from INSEAD.
