Matt Hastings

Matt Hastings develops and delivers large scale change programmes across energy and utilities in both private and public sectors.

He lead the partnership with Ofgem, energy networks, consumer groups, businesses, investors and academics to develop and deliver the new Strategic Innovation Fund which will deploy £450m over the next 5 years. He was previously Head of Innovation on the £100m Prospering from the Energy Revolution programme where he developed the Modernising Energy Data Access competition.

Prior to this Matt spent 5 years at Centrica where he was the Programme Director of the Cornwall Local Energy Market, a £19m trial of the world’s first Local Energy Market (winner of Smart Grid of the Year at the REA Awards and Innovation of the Year in the Business Green awards).
