Martin Avison is the founder of angelgroups, a national network of angel groups based in the North of England. With over 1,000 curated angel members, angelgroups matches high-growth SME businesses to targeted angel members. Working across all sectors (excluding alcohol, gambling or anything that can have a negative environmental impact) they typically invest in the £100k – £500k seed space. Martin is passionate about introducing the right investors to help and support the business and not just the money. Working closely with other syndicates, angelgroups can help facilitate larger raises with one recent investment achieving £3m. Martin is always open to conversations on how best to support and develop the early stage ecosystem.
