Angel Investor, UKBAA Angel Investor of the Year 2022

Andrea Sinclair is an experienced internet entrepreneur and angel investor working with a range of both commercial and social entrepreneurs. She has a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College in London, an MBA from INSEAD just outside Paris and a background in strategy consulting at McKinsey based in London and Amsterdam. Originally moved into the internet space in 1999 working at her first internet start-up Global Freight Exchange for 5 years building it into a global business. Worked with different tech start ups ever since. Now focused on angel investments and support of start-ups, especially with female founders through the Alma Angel group, as well as in supporting social entrepreneurs, mainly through the Ashoka Support Network and the Zinc Venture Builder. In addition to being an advisor and mentor to many entrepreneurs, she is a Non-Executive Director at EasyPeasy and Alison.com, a Trustee at Apps for Good and Fight for Peace International, and also Co-Owner and NED at Husky, a commercial and domestic refrigeration business. In 2022 Andrea received the UKBAA Angel Investor of the Year award.

As a British/German national, Andrea grew up in Germany, Brazil, France and England and fluently speaks English, German, Portuguese, French, Dutch plus some Spanish. She’s worked internationally, based out of London most of the time but also out of Amsterdam and Berlin.
