Exited Founder, Beer Hawk

Based in Harrogate, Mark is an award-winning entrepreneur, angel investor and NED. He spent over a decade in large corporations (including Procter & Gamble and Lloyds Banking Group), before taking the plunge as an entrepreneur in the world of craft beer.

In 2012, Mark co-founded Beer Hawk, which he scaled from “two mates in a shed” to a thriving business generating over £80m in revenues, and a team of over 200 beery enthusiasts. He has received several prestigious awards, including Great British Entrepreneur of the Year (Small Business) and Business Person of the Year at the SME National Business Awards.

As an Angel Investor, Mark has now supported over 10 start-ups and continues to provide them with ongoing mentoring and support. He’s an Operational Partner at Praetura Ventures and an Industry Adviser to the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.

Mark’s first book – The Entrepreneur Within – was published in 2025, and he’s now helping organisations unlock innovation-led growth through entrepreneurial principles.
