The UKBAA have partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, to bring additional support to the investment ecosystem.
Activate, AWS’ dedicated programme for startups, offers up to $25,000 of free credits and broader support for exciting new businesses.
Working with the UKBAA, investors and angel groups can now issue these sought after credits to founders in their portfolio. We also welcome requests directly from founders.
As an individual investor or angel group, you will need to be a member of UKBAA in order to access this benefit.

AWS Activate works with a large number of reputable accelerators, angel investors, and venture capital firms across the world to provide startups with free AWS credits, technical support, training, resources, and more. The credits and wider benefits that Amazon are able to provide to startups via the programme, are designed to help them to quickly adapt to using AWS and in turn grow their businesses.

During this session you will be able to put any question you like towards the expert panel, as a means of better understanding any specific areas you haven’t previously had the chance to delve into.
As part of the fourth session in the series, George Softas, Solutions Architect at AWS, took attendees through how to build up tech solutions via AWS.
As part of this session Nigel Walker – Deputy Director, Lending & Investor Partnerships at Innovate UK and Grant Peggie, Director, Venture Capital Solutions at British Business Bank covered alternative sources of funding.
As part of the second session in the series Richard Howard, Startup Business Development Manager at AWS, took attendees through the best structure to adhere to, what to include and what to avoid in building up an effective pitch deck.
Managing Director Roderick Beer provided an overview on a range of investment types, with a focus on Angel and VC investment.
