This week’s focus is on becoming an Amazon Web Services credits referrer. One of our more recent member services that we introduced in the past year, we have partnered with Amazon through their Activate programme to provide our members with the opportunity to act as referrers for up to $25,000 worth of free credits and broader support to their founders.
Although most of you will be familiar with AWS credits it’s important to clarify exactly what they are and what they do. Amazon Web Services is the largest and most comprehensive cloud platform in the world, powering an enormous number of the websites you use every day. The Activate programme is the tool Amazon uses to distribute their web credits specifically to startups finding their feet which they can use to build out their web services. For any business at such an early stage getting access to so much support is hugely helpful and we are able to work with our members to ensure you are able to issue these extremely valuable credits to the founders in your portfolio.

We’ve ensured the way to become an AWS referrer is as easy as possible. Simply log in to the Members Area and click on the link to be taken to our short webform. This collects the data we need to verify you are eligible to act as an AWS referrer as well as the contact details you’d like us to use to connect you with Amazon. From there we connect you with Amazon and you will then be in their capable hands. When you are registered with them you will then be able to distribute up to $25,000 worth of the credits to the founders in your portfolio.

Please do log in, fill out the form and give your founders that extra helping hand. You can also view our AWS Activate page for further information. Of course if you have any questions about AWS credits, the process, or anything else please don’t hesitate to contact our Membership Manager Thomas Charles at email@example.com.
Next week we’ll be looking at our Membership Directory, we’ll explore what it is, how best to use it and why it’s so important to keep your profile up to date!
