Ying De Group And CIDAUK Announce Semi-Finals Of 11th China UK Entrepreneurship Competition For UK SMEs

Following the unveiling of the China UK Entrepreneurship Competition and the £30 million China UK Enterprise Investment Fund in London on 16 July 2018, Ying De Group and the China Innovation and Development Association, UK (CIDAUK) are pleased to announce that this year’s semi-finals will be held in Nottingham on 5 September 2018, where 8 companies will present their business projects in front of a distinguished panel that includes Ying De, CIDAUK, Skyline Group, Satellite Application Catapult, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, Northumbria University, UEA and Cocoon Networks.


The China UK Enterprise Investment Fund, based on the UK Home Office Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa Scheme and provided by high net worth Chinese skilled investors, represents an exciting opportunity for 60 – 100 UK companies to access funding as well as business skills and networks from the investors.  Jointly run by Ying De Group and China Innovation and Development Association UK (CIDAUK), the Fund targets companies in 9 key sectors which include: finance and accounting; education; marketing; engineering; international trading; fashion; IT; construction and media.


The launch event held at Cocoon Networks London was attended by delegates from more than 100 companies.  Amongst the guests of honours were Xiaowei Xiang, Minister Counsellor of Cultural Affairs, Embassy of China to the UK; and Boshu Liang, Chief Representative of UK Office, China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA).  Speakers at the semi-finals will include:
