Bristol Angel Hub – Scale-up Briefing: Mergers and Acquisitions

What should a fast growth company leader know about mergers and acquisitions?

The West of England is recognised as a great place to start a business, but there is still work to be done to properly put our fast growth, scaling companies on the map. After our successful event earlier in 2018 discussing ‘how to raise £1M or more’ we are pleased to bring together the scale up community to discuss the merits, practicalities and challenges of mergers and acquisitions.

At this event you will hear from founders that have experienced this adventure first hand – and from experts who do it as a day-job. The event will follow our usual format of a number of lightning talks followed by a panel discussion (or the other way around) and with plenty of time for meeting other people and asking the juicy questions.

Our hopes for the event:

  • To bring the community of scale-up businesses and support together
  • To explore the challenges that scale-up businesses face in relation to skills, talent and culture
  • To identify potential solutions and commit to actions that could resolve those challenges

Who should attend?

A scale up is technically defined as a company with 10+ employees growing 20% year on year but we believe it’s important, for these events to bring the scale up leaders and aspiring leaders together to share and learn so we invite founders and employees of businesses who are on the growth curve to join us.
