The Bunch

Bristol-based tech business The Bunch, previously known as Easy Student Living, has received £115,000 investment from Bristol Private Equity Club (BPEC).

The £115,000 investment from BPEC is part of a £900,000 fundraising round. The Bunch plans to expand its range of services with the investment.

Jerry Barnes, founder director of BPEC, said: “The Bunch is another example of technology being used to solve a complex, common problem in a simple and cost-effective way.

The Bunch offers student bills packages that remove all the hassle and the stress of bills. They cover the bills and then split the total cost between students and their housemates.

The Bunch was set up by recent graduates who were fed up of being taken advantage of by utility companies. The company was founded as Easy Student Living in Leeds in 2016 taking on its first customers in May 2017.

Since then the company has expanded, with over 3000 customers onboard for 2019/2020. The company rebranded in May 2019 to become The Bunch in order to stay in touch with the long term goals of the company – being able to provide a service for ANYONE living in shared accommodation.
