Diversity X Ventures make their first investment in Femtech

Our first-ever investment at Diversity X Ventures is deployed – a £45K ticket into Papcup founded by Sânziana Foia.
Every 90 seconds, a woman dies of cervical cancer, and 99% of those deaths are preventable.
Women’s health has been chronically under-researched and under-tested, and access to timely, non-invasive diagnostics remains a huge gap.
Sanziana, PhD candidate at Imperial College London, is building a biosensor platform with the vision of turning menstrual blood into a quick, at-home window into women’s health; answering everyday questions from “why am I always so tired?” to “am I at risk of cervical cancer?” and beyond.
30 million women in the UK and US live with an undetected condition. Papcup is building the infrastructure to change that, and we’re proud to back it with our first cheque.
