Oxi-Tech, a ground-breaking clean-in-place disinfectant technology company, receives record investment from Henley Business Angels members

A syndicate of 14 Henley Business Angels members have made the largest investment of the network to date in Oxi-Tech, a ground-breaking clean-in-place disinfectant technology company, contributing to an overall funding round of £1m.

Within the agricultural sector, large, automated, critical systems across the food manufacturing process – from milking machines to animal feed systems – require clean water as an absolute necessity for their operation.

Due to the nature of these systems, they become a breeding ground for bacteria and other pathogens such as E-Coli and Avian Flu (H5N1), requiring regular disinfection to remain safely operational.

Traditionally, methods of disinfection across sectors utilise chemicals, which are not only time-consuming but also costly and with high levels of risk associated.

Oxi-Tech’s ground-breaking technology eliminates the high recurring costs and safety risks of traditional chemical disinfectant processes by creating an oxidation process in-situ from tap water, a process that is safe to use for humans and animals.

The Activated Oxygen produced from this process is an incredibly powerful disinfectant, but temporary in nature, enabling tap water to return to its normal state within minutes of use; except that this water will be pathogen free.
