QVentures hosts a female investor event for Family Offices and HNWIs in support of a more diverse and inclusive tech ecosystem

QVentures recently hosted another fantastic event for their community of female Family Offices and UHNWI investors.

The event was hosted by Michaela Jandova, Vice-President at QVentures and Nadia Al-Nasser from the Origination team. Throughout the event, attendees engaged in vibrant discussions on topics such as the future of women investing in Venture Capital and the tech startups that are disrupting the status quo.

QVentures believes that a diverse and inclusive business ecosystem is key to creating impactful companies and leaders of the future. Sponsoring events such as this, is an important element in continuing to educate and connect female investors in the ecosystem. The QVentures Pre-Seed Fund is geared towards maximising diversity and inclusion through a meritocratic data process. A data driven non-discriminatory application process has been put in place where identities are hidden to mitigate against trends and biases that can go otherwise unmonitored.

By supporting high-quality management teams with innovative and passionate founders, in large and growing addressable markets, QVentures works alongside next-generation technology companies addressing the problems of tomorrow.

QVentures Managing Partner, Robert Walsh comments, “I am honoured that the QVentures team has been able to bring together this community of women investors. We believe that investors can positively impact the growth and future of companies by providing invaluable support outside of capital, and I’d like to very much thank the female investors coming together in support of diversity and inclusion in the tech ecosystem.”

The QVentures team is proudly 45% female, which is 18% higher than VC and PE industry average according to a Sifted survey from January 2021.

QVentures is a proud supporter of the British Business Bank’s Investing in Women Code, an initiative dedicated to improving female entrepreneurship and representation in tech, as well as other industry initiatives such as the Women in VC community and Playfair Capital’s Female Founder Office Hours.

QVentures is happy to have funded various female founded businesses, such as DAI, GoldieBlox, Bea Fertility, Flexa, amicable, The Foraging Fox, Kitche, Rosecut, lantum, and FabLittleBag, to name a few.
