City of London and Angel Academe launch Entrepreneur Academe to support Women Entrepreneurs
Angel Academe is delighted to announce that theCity of London(CoL), the government body for the “Square Mile” business district, have appointed Angel Academe to run a mentoring programme forwomenentrepreneurs.
The programme is part of CoL’s ongoing commitment to support enterprise and small businesses both in the City and its neighbouring boroughs. It aims to help 15-20 female entrepreneurs grow their businesses by offering a combination of brainstorming, education, peer accountability and support in a group setting to sharpen business and personal skills.
Angel Academe will provide support and encouragement from fellow entrepreneurs and business mentors drawing on its extensive network of business mentors and contacts. Specific areas of guidance will cover areas as diverse as Business and Financial Planning, Leadership, Technology, Marketing/PR and Sales, Product Development, Analytics and Investment Readiness. The course will also provide an opportunity to network, build relationships, learn from other people’s experiences and share their own.
Lord MayorFiona Woolfsaid:”Small businesses are vital to our economy and we need to ensure that female entrepreneurs are given the opportunity to be able to contribute to growth. This programme will build a platform on which those taking part can build their skills and in doing so help their businesses to thrive.”

We’re just over a year old and in that time have worked hard to raise awareness of angel investing to senior professional and entrepreneurial women and to create a syndicate of active women investors. We believe that entrepreneurship creates great leadership opportunities for women. Working with the City on this fantastic initiative will allow us to harness the skills of our network of women leaders to support the next generation of women entrepreneurs.”
