Scott O’Brien is Chief Investment Officer at Innovate UK, working to support innovate businesses secure the right funding and the right time to go from concept to commercialisation, growth and scale. He is directly responsible for delivery of Innovation Loans and Investor Partnerships.

Scott was previously at British Business Bank and was responsible for creating the Start-Up Loans programme as well as working with the European Investment Fund on its Innovfin guarantee programme. Before that, he held roles across Government and in Corporate and Commercial Banking.
