Deepali has a portfolio of female founders which includes PensionBee, Adia Health, Polipop, LiveBetterWith and Kama. She has a keen interest in femtech and healthtech.

Mike Rutterford
Mike Rutterford is a serial entrepreneur with a 40-year career as a business angel and in property investment. Educated in Edinburgh, in his 20s he launched Stuart Wyse Ogilivie and over a ten-year period developed the estate agency into the biggest in Scotland – subsequently selling to General Accident in 1987. He co-founded Archangels with business partner Barry Sealey in 1992. In June 2010, Mike received an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from Edinburgh Napier University.

To be considered for this award, investors should demonstrate their level of activity as well as the role they played in supporting their portfolio businesses with access to experience, skills, contacts and mentoring, or further finance to support the successful growth and scale-up.
This year the award will be focused specifically on celebrating lead investors who take the essential additional responsibility of being the point person in conducting robust due diligence, negotiating terms and providing support to businesses post investment.
This is a prestigious award and as such, the chosen Angel Investor of the Year will be expected to act as an ambassador for angel investing on behalf of the UKBAA.
